Pictured here (below) is Uncle Phil , with his
wife Georgia, and Angel Fuentes. This pic was taken January 2010 at the reorganization ceremony. Since then, Uncle
Phil has taken ill and we keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a recovery that brings him back to us very soon. We miss
his cheery personality and sense of humor. Over the years, he has worked very hard and contributed very much to both
the community and our organization. His dedication and loyalty have greatly assisted us in reaching many of our
goals.
We miss you and look forward to seeing you again
very soon!

club is the place to be to see old friends, and make new friends, who share common goals, beliefs, and objectives in taking
the Democrat party to new heights. We are about equality and diversity.

Our meetings are the first Thursday of every month at the Deptford Elk's on Highland Ave. lower level
at 7:30PM.

in which he or she believes. Because our club members do believe in our club's goals, we are strong
in the face of adversity and are not distracted from taking the leadership in Deptford Township - our home - to

Deptford and the Hot Air Balloon
When was the first balloon flight?
The first flight in a hot air balloon was on September 19, 1783 in Versailles,
France. A sheep, a duck and a rooster where the first passengers.
The first “manned” flight was on November 21, 1783 when the Montgolfier brothers took a
flight in Paris, France.
The first hot air balloon flight in America was on January 9, 1789. George Washington was there to see
the balloon leave Philadelphia, PA. It went from Philadelphia across the Delaware River and landed in Deptford, NJ.
